Fall is one of my favorite times of the year and if you're looking to plan your fall engagement photo session in Charlotte, NC, now is the time to get started!

Many people love to plan engagement sessions in the fall, and with good reason—the air is cool and crisp (but not yet too cold), the colorful foliage is absolutely gorgeous (making a wonderful natural backdrop), and the change in seasons just brings out a more romantic feel for some people.

Finding the Right Location

If you are considering a fall engagement photo session, you want to select a location that shows off the best parts of the season—all of the colors!  Many couples select locations such as local farms, pumpkin patches, and camp sites for their photo shoot.  Others just choose a location that has lots of trees, because where there are trees, there will be lots of fallen leaves!

What to Wear

Finding the right attire for your fall engagement photo shoot shouldn’t be too difficult at all.  Look to nature for lots of color inspiration!  Beautiful shades of orange, red, green, and brown are perfect for fall photo sessions.  These colors are easily complimented with shades of cream.

Also, add texture to your outfits.  Beautiful sweaters and scarves are great accessories for your fall engagement photo session.  Here’s one of my favorite scarves I found on Amazon…and another one as well!

Enjoying Your Session

While considering the perfect location, outfit, and time of day for your fall engagement photos, the most important part is to relax and have fun!  By not focusing so much on the fact that you’re being photographed, and instead, enjoying this experience with your significant other, you will have a much more enjoyable photo session.  Your photos will reflect the love and excitement between the two of you!
