Whenever I have the opportunity to photograph a repeat client, I get excited for many reasons. One, I love to hear their ideas for their current photo session. Two, I love to hear how their “photo tastes” may have changed from one photo session to another. Yet another reason is because I love to see if we can recreate the magic that we had from our previous photo sessions (honestly, I enjoy the challenge)!

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Samantha (this is our third session together) for her “Cinco de Mayo” themed birthday celebration. I was excited when Samantha contacted me and expressed her ideas for this photo shoot. Samantha is definitely not afraid to “step out of the box.” I have to admit, whenever I have the opportunity to photograph her, I know her photos will turn out great and these photos did not disappoint!

To capture the “spiciness” of these photos, we traveled to three different locations: SouthEnd Charlotte, Jeni’s Ice Cream, and the Confetti Hearts Wall (one of my favorite locations). These locations provided the perfect backdrop for the excitement I wanted Samantha to feel every time she looked at these photos.

We began our photo session in SouthEnd. By the time we got to Jeni’s Ice Cream, Samantha was turning up the heat and was definitely on FIRE by the end of her session! To say we had fun capturing these photos is definitely an understatement.

For this session, everything felt as if it was in perfect alignment: Samantha, the perfect locations, and beautiful weather! It couldn’t get any better than that!
