Christy and I have known each other for almost 20 years! We initially met in a college internship program, only to find out that we were also sorority sisters (skee-wee!). We’ve kept in touch over the years and also work together in real estate.

I was so overjoyed when I found out that she was expecting! Just last year, I captured her and Vince for their engagement photos. They got married and are now expecting their first child together!

I typically recommend that expectant mamas have their maternity portraits taken between 28 and 32 weeks; however, there are some times when that doesn’t always work out. In this case, we were down to the wire on taking maternity photos, so I offered to come to their home to take a few photos before the arrival of their new baby.

I brought a few gowns from my home studio for her to choose from, set up in their living room, and went to work!

Whew—we made it! And just TWO days later, their beautiful, healthy baby boy was born! It was such a pleasure to capture these photos for them. I love that they will be able to look back on these for years to come and remember the great time we had right before the baby was born. What a story to tell!
