I had the honor of capturing Little C's first birthday photos. His mom and I go way back--to elementary school in fact--and seeing all of us grown up with our own children now is truly remarkable and unbelievable.

I love to take children portraits in Charlotte, NC, but for this session, I headed down to my hometown of Eutawville, SC. There's a new park in town (well new to me since it wasn't there when I was growing up) and we had the best time! Little C was busy as expected for a soon-to-be one-year old, admiring the people and grass and areas to play in. I got my workout in for the day by chasing him around, but at the end of it all, we got some wonderful photos.

The theme for Little C's first birthday was inspired by Sesame Street, so part of our photo shoot included balloons inspired by the Sesame Street set. Here are some of my favorite photos from this first birthday photo session.
