Happy August!

I just wanted to check in to highlight what a great month July was both personally and professionally for me with Sharetha Monique Photography.

I started off the month with a trip to Myrtle Beach for a few days with my family. My kiddos absolutely love the beach and Myrtle Beach is the perfect distance for a quick weekend getaway. While there, we also celebrated my stepson’s 8th birthday! I didn’t get much photos while there (unlike our family vacation last year), but just know that we had a great time!

Did you get a chance to see this adorable Mommy & Me session that I blogged about? One of the photos from this session was actually featured in a local Charlotte magazine! You can see more about that here.

I also shared a gorgeous Sweet 16 photo session this month. We started out the session at my home studio, where we had some fun with birthday balloons, presents, and just clean, classic portraits. Then we headed to uptown Charlotte, where we continued the session in natural light and against the natural beauty of Charlotte. It was a gorgeous session!

I was able to travel to the Isle of Palms, South Carolina, for a very special family portrait session! While I haven’t yet blogged about this session, this post received the most engagement on Instagram this month!

Towards the end of the month, I attended my family reunion, which was held in Stamford, Connecticut this year. Each year, my family hosts a variety of events during the reunion and this year was the first Palmer-Smith Image Awards event. I was surprised by being nominated and winning the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award! That means so much to me! Check it out below—pretty cool, right?!

I also captured my first Fresh 48 session this month for a special couple who welcomed an adorable baby boy into the world. If you haven’t yet, check out his introduction video! I’ve received lots of great comments on social media. I can’t wait to do another session like this soon!

Lastly, I shared my sister’s 2nd anniversary photo session on my blog!
